Dear Libby

The Honeymoon is the first episode of Season 1 of The Brady Bunch. It is the first episode overall.

Short Summary

Two single parents, Carol and Mike get married, bringing their two families together, under the Brady family name.

Carol Ann Tyler Martin is marrying widower and architect, Michael Paul Brady. It turns out Mike has three sons, and Carol has three daughters. The wedding gets ruined when Mike and the boys' dog, Tiger, gets loose at the wedding and goes after Fluffy, Carol and the girls' cat. While this is happening Carol and Mike are screaming at their children to get their pets. Soon later, Mike and Carol go to a hotel for their honeymoon. They then realize that they hurt their children's feelings by being so cruel and scolding at them at the wedding. They then go home and get the kids to go on their honeymoon with them. Alice, the housekeeper goes too. And so do Fluffy and Tiger. The show ends with them walking the steps to their hotel room.

  • The house that the Brady family lives in as of this episode would not be the same house as the house they live in for the rest of the series.
    • It is also interesting to note that at the beginning of the episode, a picture of the Brady bunch, standing on the stairs was seen, which took place in the current house that the series takes place in.
  • This episode features Carol and her daughters having a pet cat named Fluffy. This episode would be the only episode to feature Fluffy and she would never be seen or mentioned again.
